Here we are - Valentine's Day. It's the holiday you love or love to hate. In fact, it's not really a holiday at all. But we are all inevitably compelled to take part in it because it's a gifting holiday and everyone loves to get a gift. It's about as thrilling a day as, say, Arbor Day or Martin Luther King Junior Day or perhaps Boxing Day. But the sad truth about those days is simple - they are left in the dust because Arbor Day doesn't involve anything inherently selfish. And that's what we like here in America - selfishness. So I say more power to all of you out there that whizzed through MLK Jr. Day and went straight for those chocolate hearts. Way to live the American Dream! *applause*

I've decided to go ahead and take this blog completely toward politics/economy. It's all I talk about anyway. Remember, you can email me at randy [at] circularlife [dot] com or use the chat box in the lower right.
