NEW DELHI, India (AP) -- An elephant rampaged through a village in northern India on Thursday, killing at least seven people and injuring 24 others before it was killed, wildlife officials and conservationists said.
A female elephant entered the village of Bhudaheda on the edge of the Jim Corbett National Park, and began destroying crops, said Srikant Chandola, the park's chief wildlife officer. The people tried to frighten it away by beating drums, he said. That's when the animal started trampling people. (whole story)
Now I'm no expert but... beating drums? Don't these people have any mice they could use? Come on people, use your heads.
I've decided to go ahead and take this blog completely toward politics/economy. It's all I talk about anyway. Remember, you can email me at randy [at] circularlife [dot] com or use the chat box in the lower right.
